Presentation of the subject


This subject provides students with the foundations for:

Perform advanced bibliographic searches based on your information needs, using various databases (PubMed, Sportdiscus, web of science, etc.).
Cite scientific bibliography using different styles and store and classify references using bibliographic managers.
Identify the elements of the scientific article and read it critically.
Write a research paper.
Apply research to professional practice.
Advanced text processing for scientific research and publication.
Carry out a basic bibliometric evaluation.
Disseminate a research paper.

The gender perspective will be an aspect that the teaching staff will take into account by making an inclusive and non-sexist use of language and promoting the equal participation of everyone in a respectful and inclusive environment both in the master classes and in the seminar sessions. Female bibliographical references will be provided in the classroom to the extent that the subject allows it and the full first name of the authors will be used. Regarding the images of the content in the teaching material, the non-perpetuation of stereotypes will be encouraged.

The classroom (physical or virtual) is a safe space, free of sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic and discriminatory attitudes, either towards students or teachers. We trust that together we can create a safe space where we can make mistakes and learn without having to suffer the prejudices of others.

Activities and evaluation system


The evaluation will conclude with a recognition of the level of learning achieved by the student, materialized in the numerical qualification, in accordance with the provisions of current legislation. Qualification system (Royal Decree 1125/2003, of September 5, which establishes the European Credit System and the qualification system in university degrees of an official nature and valid throughout the state territory):

Weighting

SEV1. Online exams 25%

For the evaluation of section SEV4 (Individual online assignments) it is necessary to obtain a grade equal to or greater than 3 points out of 10 to be able to average with the other evaluation tests. Failure to achieve this minimum score will result in failure of the subject.

Any form of academic fraud will be sanctioned in accordance with the center's assessment regulations. If signs of fraud are detected, including the improper use of generative artificial intelligence tools, the subject's teaching staff may call the student for an individual interview with the aim of verifying their authorship.

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in this subject is regulated in the Learning Plan. It should be consulted to find out the specific conditions of use.
