Presentation of the subject


The Master's Final Project (TFM) is mandatory and has a teaching load of 10 ECTS. The TFM must be adapted to the curricular profile of the master's students. Likewise, the completion of the TFM must meet a minimum of indicators to ensure quality, for this reason all students will be tutored by an academic director, supervised in turn by the TFM Committee. The main objective of the TFM is for the student to acquire academic skills related to the field of research methodology and be able to transfer them to professional practice in the field of knowledge of Personal Training, Prevention of Injuries and Diseases and Physical-Sports Rehabilitation. This will ensure the achievement of the same knowledge and skills specified in this teaching plan. TecnoCampus will make available to teachers and students the digital tools necessary to carry out the subject, as well as guides and recommendations that facilitate adaptation to the non-face-to-face modality.

The gender perspective will be an aspect that the teaching staff will take into account by making an inclusive and non-sexist use of language and promoting the equal participation of everyone in a respectful and inclusive environment both in the master classes and in the seminar sessions. Female bibliographical references will be provided in the classroom to the extent that the subject allows it and the full first name of the authors will be used. Regarding the images of the content in the teaching material, the non-perpetuation of stereotypes will be encouraged.

The classroom (physical or virtual) is a safe space, free of sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic and discriminatory attitudes, either towards students or teachers. We trust that together we can create a safe space where we can make mistakes and learn without having to suffer the prejudices of others.

Activities and evaluation system


Assessment system The acquisition of skills by the student will be assessed through the continuous assessment system, weighing and assessing the results obtained from the application of the assessment procedures described in each teaching plan of the subject. The assessment will conclude with a recognition of the level of learning achieved by the student, materialized in the numerical qualification, in accordance with the provisions of current legislation. Qualification system (Royal Decree 1125/2003, of September 5, which establishes the European credit system and the qualification system in university degrees of an official nature and validity throughout the state territory):

· 0-4,9: Fail (SS)

· 5,0-6,9: Passed (AP)

· 7,0-8,9: Remarkable (NT)

· 9,0 - 10: Excellent (SB)

The weighting of the TFM will be as follows:

a) SE5. Preparation of the TFM report. Director's evaluation (40%)

i. Initial memory 10%

ii. The final report 30%

b) SE6. Evaluation of the defense by the court (40%)

i. The final report 20%

ii. Act of defense 20%

c) SE3 and SEV3. Individual work and participation in online forums and debates (20%)

 

The final grade will have a value of 0 to 10. To pass the TFM, a grade of 5 corresponding to the weightings of sections a and b must be achieved. If the required grade is not achieved, the TFM will be considered failed and the defense will have to be repeated in the next call.

To be able to defend the TFM before the court, the student must achieve a minimum grade of 5 in the evaluation of the director (section a). Otherwise, the student must make the appropriate corrections in the TFM suggested by the director, until the latter considers the work valid (grade of 5) for its defense before the court.

In the individual work section (SE3 and SEV3) it is necessary to obtain an average grade equal to or greater than 3 out of 10 to be able to average with the rest of the evaluation tests. If this requirement is not met, the subject will be failed.

Any form of academic fraud will be sanctioned in accordance with the school's assessment regulations. If signs of fraud are detected, including the improper use of generative artificial intelligence tools, the subject's teaching staff may call the student for an individual interview with the aim of verifying their authorship. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in this subject is regulated in the Learning Plan. It should be consulted to find out the specific conditions of use.
