Basic skills

Presentation of the subject

Students will explore the history and evolution of AI, its impact on work and business, and learn to use tools such as Chat GPT and generative AI (MidJourney, DALL·E). They will also work on aspects of prompt engineering, creating AI agents and systems, and discuss ethical issues and future trends. The training culminates with a personalized practical project to apply AI to real needs.

Module 1: Fundamentals of AI. 

  1. Introduction to AI: History and evolution. 

  • Historical review of major advances in AI. 

  • Basic concepts. 

  1. AI vs Humans: Implications of AI at work. 

  • Impact on current professions and future trends. 

  • Case studies: Automation and productivity improvements. 

  1. Use cases of AI in companies. 

  • How to implement AI in the company. 

  • Use cases and examples 

  • Debate: What role should AI have in society? 

 

Module 2: Prompt Engineering 

  1. GPT Chat: Basic Usage and Best Practices 

  • Introduction to how to structure and improve prompts. 

  • Guided exercises to optimize responses. 

  1. Advanced options and customization 

  • Customization of models and adjustments to functionalities. 

  • Practice: Configuring advanced scenarios. 

  1. Practical workshop: Creating effective profiles and prompts 

  • Development of solutions adapted to real cases.

  • Practical scenarios with contextual answers. 

 

Module 3: Generative AI and Other Tools

  • Introduction to generative AI of images, video, avatars, ... (ex. MidJourney, DALL·E).

  • Exploring new applications and limits of AI in key sectors. 

  1. Workshop: Creation of an AI project by the student. 

  • Practical development of an AI system adapted to a real need. 

  1. Debate and closing: Reflections and steps to follow 

  • Conclusions on the personal and professional impact of AI. 

Activities and evaluation system

Classes with presentations. 

Practical workshops and creation of a project with AI (automation of a business process, creation of a website, a computer program, a video game, ...). 

Continuous assessment exercises and final content exam 

Students who have not taken the final exams will not be able to take the retake exam.
