Presentation of the subject

The evolution of human beings is linked to their ability to experiment and communicate with the context in which they find themselves. Thus, play and expression become fundamental tools in the integral development of the person.

The subject "Game Theory and Practice and Body Expression" focuses on the knowledge of the bases and structure of games and the elements that make up body expression in order to use them as a tool for the transmission of content and learning. The methodology is based on guided discovery and practice, as well as understanding the internal logic of playful and expressive manifestations.

The classroom (physical or virtual) is a safe space, free of sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic and discriminatory attitudes, either towards students or teachers. We trust that together we can create a safe space where we can make mistakes and learn without having to suffer the prejudices of others.

The inclusion of the gender perspective in their teaching will be taken into account.

The use of AI in this subject is regulated in the learning plan.

Activities and evaluation system

Qualification system (Royal Decree 1125/2003, of 5 September) that establishes the European system of credits and the system of qualifications to the university degrees of official character and validity in all the state territory:

0 - 4,9: Suspended

5,0 - 6,9: Approved

7,0 - 8,9: Notable

9,0 - 10: Excellent

Requirements to be able to be evaluated:

  • Assistance: Minimum mandatory completion of 70% of the practical sessions. This percentage of "non-attendance" includes absences due to illness or injury. You must be PASSED in this section to be able to be evaluated. (and therefore, to be able to pass the subject).
  • Attend the assessment activities designated as mandatory:  theoretical exam and practical exam. You must have attended both to be able to be evaluated. (and therefore, to be able to pass the subject).

The final grade of the students is the result of a continuous assessment through different assessment activities. Passing the subject is the result of a grade equal to or greater than 5/10 points. according to the following weighting table

Considerations regarding this system for assessing the acquisition of competencies:

Exams: 70%: The student will take the exam in two different parts: A theoretical exam and a practical exam. To pass the subject, the average of the two parts must have a grade of 5/10. and this is an essential requirement for the rest of the assessment activities carried out during the course to be taken into consideration. If the average of the two parts is not approved or if the minimum grade is not reached in one of them, the subject is failed. In the event of failing the subject, it is possible to retake it by taking a theoretical exam.

70% of the weighting is distributed:

  • Theoretical exam: 35%:  Mandatory and you must have one minimum grade of 4/10 to weighIf the minimum grade for weighting is not reached, the subject is failed.
  • Practical exam: 35% Mandatory and you must have one minimum grade of 4/10 to weighIf the minimum grade for weighting is not reached, the subject is failed.

Group and individual work: 30% Optional. No minimum grade is required. They can only be completed within the deadlines established by the professor. It is not assessable during the recovery period.

Complementary activities: individual or group. Optional works on a variety of topics that can be done to raise the grade. They are only considered if the subject has been approved. The maximum (extra) weighting that can be obtained with these actions is +10%.

IMPORTANT:

If any of the necessary requirements described above are not met, the student will fail the subject.

The total or partial copy in any of the learning activities will mean a "Not Presented" in the subject, without option to present in the proof of recovery and without prejudice of the opening of a file for this reason.

Considerations regarding theevaluation activity during recovery period:

  • The grade of the theoretical exam of the retake will replace the grade of the theoretical exam of the ordinary call.
  • Activities not carried out during the course cannot be done during the recovery period.
  • According to current regulations, you can only take the retake exam if you have failed the subject. Therefore, if the grade is Not presented o approved, you will not be eligible for recovery.

Within the framework of the 7 Common Competencies of TecnoCampus, this subject incorporates the evaluation of Competence 4. Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaborative work skills: ability to work in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary teams, recognizing and respecting different visions and areas of knowledge, integrating them towards a common goal. This competence, in addition to being specifically assessed with the aim of being able to be accredited later, represents at least 10% of the final weighting of the subject, being integrated into the assessment systems specific to it, which are specified in this teaching guide. For more information, you can consult the subject's learning plan.
