Presentation of the subject

It studies how transport is managed and its impact on the logistics sector.

The classroom (physical or virtual) is a safe space, free from sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic and discriminatory attitudes, whether towards students or teachers. We trust that together we create a safe space where we can make mistakes and learn without having to suffer prejudice from others.

TOPIC 1. TRANSPORT AND ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATION. TRANSPORT POLICY IN THE EUROPEAN UNION.

1.- Transport as a regulated activity. Administrative permits required for the activity.

2.- Transport policy in the European Union.

3.- Infrastructures and operators. Legal regime.

4.- Administrative transport policy: necessary generic documentation.

5.- Criminal risks.

6.- Competition and transport regulations. Rates. General conditions of contracting.

7.- Transport and Customs.

 

SUBJECT 2. LEGAL REGIME OF NATIONAL TRANSPORT: LAND TRANSPORT OF GOODS CONTRACT LAW, LOTT, ROTT.

1.- The organization of land transport.

2.- Definition of the actors.

3.- Obligations: Administrative authorizations and training.

4.- Transport documentation. Penalty regime.

 

TOPIC 3. LEGAL REGIME OF INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT. SCOPE OF APPLICATION.

1.- Intra-Community transport of goods. Characteristics and regulations.

2.- Extra-Community transport of goods.

3.- Introduction to the "CMR" Convention for international land transport, the L15/2009 of the National Land Transport "LTTMC" the Hague-Visby Rules and the Montreal Convention.

 

SUBJECT 4. LAND TRANSPORT OF GOODS BY ROAD

1.- Land transport of goods by road. Heavy and light vehicles.

2.- Transport of dangerous and special goods. The ADR Convention and the RID Convention.

1.- Introduction: general elements; transport contract and insurance contract.

3.- Carrier's civil liability contract.

 

Activities and evaluation system

Continuous evaluation and mandatory exam.

The subject is divided into two parts, a first part with 50% of which 30% consists of assessable practices and 20% corresponds to attendance and participation in class.

The remaining 50% corresponds to the theoretical part that can be assessed with the final exam, which must be passed with a minimum of 5 to count towards the other 50% (continuous assessment).

RECOVERY, must be passed with a minimum grade of 5, the score obtained from the continuous assessment will not be lost.

Any form of academic fraud will be sanctioned in accordance with the center's assessment regulations. If signs of fraud are detected, including the improper use of generative artificial intelligence tools, the subject's teaching staff may call the student for an individual interview with the aim of verifying their authorship.
