BIOETHICS AND PROFESSIONAL LEGISLATION

The scenario of the exercise of the care professions has undergone in recent years rapid and profound changes that have come to change the nature and objectives of care activities, some of the causes have been the current proliferation of regulations governing the rights of the user of the healthcare system, the diversity of healthcare activities, the application of ICTs in the health sciences, big data in health and research, new professional challenges in the face of pandemic situations, as well as requirements and availability of resources and means, among others, facts that imply an increasingly complex and demanding professional practice, and yet an increase in the area of competence and professional responsibility of the nurse.
This professional responsibility does not only imply the monitoring and compliance with current legislation, but also ethical and moral responsibility, given the various situations and / or ethical-legal conflicts that occur in clinical practice. It is these reasons that demand a deep and interdisciplinary reflection of the health professions in order to provide answers in the search for professional excellence. Bioethics and Health Legislation as a disciplelines offer tools and resources to encourage and encourage reflection, dialogue and management of possible answers to ethical-legal dilemmas arising from professional practice and the social moment.
