Description


The subject of Care in the processes of death and mourning aims to enable the student to develop specific and qualified care in a situation of advanced and serious illness or
which leads to the end of life.
The aim of the course is for the nursing student to acquire knowledge and skills to assess, care for and understand the physical, emotional and
spiritual needs of people in this situation and their socio-familial environment. Also put him in touch with the ability to provide
specific care in accompanying the situation of last days in a respectful, dignified and compassionate manner.

Evaluation system


The evaluation of the generic and specific competencies in this period of exceptionality due to the current pandemic situation will be carried out with the following activities:

 It is mandatory to pass the final exam and group work with a minimum of 5 to be able to do the weighting with the other grades.

The quantitative (0 to 10) and qualitative qualification system (suspended, approved, notable, excellent, honors registration) is used according to RD 1125/2003.

Recovery period

The assessment activity with the possibility of recovery is the final exam. The grades of the continuous assessment will be maintained.

NOTE: According to UPF regulations, students who have the option of retrieving the subject are those who have obtained a “suspended” grade, which are the only ones that can be modified in the recovery process.
