Description


The subject of Pharmacology aims to introduce second-year students of the nursing degree in the knowledge and use of pharmacological strategies for the treatment of patients.

The aim is for the student to know the general concepts and principles essential for the pharmacological treatment of the most common diseases in the population. The student must know the beneficial and harmful effects of drugs, their mechanism of action, the risk of interaction with other drugs and foods, their use in case of poisoning and their main indications and contraindications.

This subject has methodological and digital resources to make possible its continuity in non-contact mode in the case of being necessary for reasons related to the Covid-19. In this way, the achievement of the same knowledge and skills that are specified in this teaching plan will be ensured. The TecnoCampus will make available to teachers and students the digital tools needed to carry out the course, as well as guides and recommendations that facilitate adaptation to the non-contact mode.

They will consist of 3 sessions of two hours in which the different concepts learned during the master classes will be worked on in an applied way.

Evaluation system


The evaluation of the subject is continuous, through different tools to assess the different skills needed to pass the subject.

The evaluation of the competences will be done through different activities:

It is necessary to obtain at least a grade of 5 in the individual exam as an indispensable condition to pass the subject.

The resit assessment will consist of a combined test of multiple-choice questions and short questions similar to the final exam.

According to article 5 of Royal Decree 1125/2003, the results obtained by the student will be graded according to the numerical scale from 0 to 10, with the corresponding qualitative grade: failed, approved, notable, excellent, honors.

The mark obtained from both the seminar part and the questionnaire part will be maintained when calculating the final mark in case of obtaining a mark higher than 5 points out of 10.

In accordance with current regulations, you can only opt for recovery, if it has been suspended the subject. If the rating is Not presented, you will not be eligible for recovery.

The total or partial copy in any of the learning activities will mean a "Not Presented" in the subject, without option to present in the proof of recovery and without prejudice of the opening of a file for this reason.
