  • Establish maritime and logistics business projects that allow the creation of new companies or the improvement of existing ones, adopting innovative and creative ideas

  • Demonstrate knowledge about the structure, organization and management of ports -sport and state-of-the-art- where the traffic of people and goods, nautical leisure, fishing and tourism coexist, emphasizing cruises

Description


This subject has methodological and digital resources to make possible its continuity in non-contact mode in the case of being necessary for reasons related to the Covid-19. In this way, the achievement of the same knowledge and skills that are specified in this teaching plan will be ensured.

The TecnoCampus will make available to teachers and students the digital tools needed to carry out the course, as well as guides and recommendations that facilitate adaptation to the non-contact mode.

The content of the subject will be taught through online sessions / conferences / webinars by different national and / or international experts.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Acquire general knowledge in innovative areas of transport and logistics
  • Know the state of the art of the technologies applied in the different means of transport and in logistics: ships and autonomous vehicles 
  • Learn, through real cases, the consequences that a variation in the environment has on logistics.
  • Understand and visualize the importance of adapting to changes in the logistics sector.
  • Know the strategy and roadmap for 2020-2030 for the port and transport sector
  • Comprehension and communication in English and Spanish.

Working methodology


METHODOLOGY

The content of the subject will be taught through different online sessions / conferences (via Zoom and / or videos), by national and international experts.

In principle, with some possible exceptions, which will depend on the availability of the speaker, the conferences will be held every two weeks (Monday or Tuesday). The week following the lecture, students will have to hand in (post in the virtual classroom) the activity indicated on the topic covered by the lecturer. The assignment will be indicated each week (the week of the conference)

For each session / conference:

It is mandatory to attend the sessions / conferences online.

All students must participate in writing (when required).

Jobs:

All students must do the assigned work for all the lectures seen / heard of the subject.

EVALUATION SYSTEM

Face-to-face or virtual assistance (if so decided for security reasons or if so requested by some exhibitors) and conference-related activities / sessions: 50% of the final grade.

Final exam related to all lectures: 50% of the final grade.

The grade for the final work must be a minimum of 5 to be able to average. It will only be possible to recover if you have passed the final exam.
