Description


The Final Degree Project (TFG) is a personal work of deepening within a subject or problematic, of synthesis and often transversal within the field of the studies of degree cursados ​​by the student / to, with the end that the The student demonstrates his / her ability to apply the training acquired during the degree studies, accrediting the obtaining of the degree title.

The personal work of the student linked to the realization of the TFG is the corresponding one to 25 hours by ECTS (500 hours with a TFG of 20 ECTS).

The TFG is an individual work without detriment that can be an independent part of a work developed jointly between students of the same or different degrees. In any case, the evaluation of the TFG is individual.

 

This subject has methodological and digital resources to make possible its continuity in non-contact mode in the event that it is necessary for reasons related to COVID-19.

In this way, the achievement of the same knowledge and skills that are specified in this teaching plan will be ensured.

Learning outcomes


At the end of the process, the student must be able to:

LO1 Apply the knowledge, processes and techniques learned during the degree to research and / or the ideation, planning, development and possible marketing of an audiovisual or multimedia piece.

As complementary results, the student must be able to:

RAC1 Analyze a problem and develop a project appropriate to its field, in compliance with its objectives, consistent and offering a new contribution, as an audiovisual / multimedia product or as research, according to specifications

RAC2 Evaluate the different possibilities of project resolution, analyzing the interest and viability, and know how to apply the most appropriate

RAC3 Understand and apply the techniques of planning, execution and documentation of the different phases of a project, if necessary with a realistic budget

RAC4 Prepare a project report which includes, according to its typology: problems to be solved, objectives, references or state of the issue, conceptual or theoretical framework, methodology and phases of the project, project development or analysis of results, conclusions, bibliographical references and future lines of work and, where appropriate, economic study

RAC5 Carry out a control and follow-up in installments

RAC6 Communicate a project both orally and in writing

Working methodology


The student will carry out the TFG, in general, under the direction of a teacher of the School. If applicable, the TFG may be co-directed by teachers or graduates from outside the School. The tutor will guide and support the student with a system of personal interviews in accordance with the provisions of the TFG Regulations.

The student will have to dedicate to the realization of the work a time corresponding to 20 ECTS (500h of dedication). This time will have to be distributed for the realization of the part applied in the works of type Applied and the realization of the memory in all types of works, of Research or Applied. The different documents and rubrics of evaluation of TFG recognize a different distribution for each modality, according to the elaboration, in his case, of an applied part.

The student will have to write a documentation on the TFG realized. A panel will evaluate the project and propose a rating, within the intended evaluation system (see Evaluation System).

The TFG is regulated by its own regulations, available on the School's website and which must be followed in detail. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in the suspension of the TFG subject.

However, at the beginning of the work process, the person in charge of the TFG of the degree will conveniently inform of other documents, rubrics or regulations that may affect TFG.

 

This course, due to the situation generated by COVID-19, meetings and other learning activities could be carried out, within the margins of this subject, by electronic means.

Realization of a project (TFG) of Research or Applied in the field of the ideation, production and audiovisual and / or multimedia realization.

Learning activities


DEVELOPMENT AND ELABORATION OF THE TFG:

Carrying out the TFG and drafting its appropriate documentation.

The TFG documentation will be carried out in accordance with TFG regulations. The documentation will have to reflect in detail the work done and will be one of the elements that the court will take into consideration to evaluate the work.

The TFG regulations include two types of work:

  1. Research works: consist of a research around an object of study and produce a report according to the sections contemplated in TFG regulations; they have no applied part
  2. Applied works: consist of the creation of an audiovisual or multimedia product, accompanied by a report according to the sections contemplated in TFG regulations

During the preparation of the documentation, three follow-up deliveries will be made, which will be evaluable according to the criteria contemplated in TFG regulations (see Evaluation system):

  • Preliminary design delivery
  • Delivery Buffer
  • Delivery Final report

These deliveries will be made according to the calendar of the TFG call in question.

With the realization of the report and / or the corresponding applied part, as well as with its defense, the acquisition of the Learning Results is guaranteed: RA1, RAC1, RAC2, RAC3, RAC4, RAC5, RAC6.

With the realization of the memory and / or the corresponding applied part, as well as with his defense, work the competitions: G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, as well as those transversal and specific suitable to each project.

 

In the event of confinement, the following changes will be applied: meetings, learning activities or presentations designed to be carried out in person will be carried out through an online system.

Evaluation system


According to the TFG Regulations, its evaluation is organized as follows:

  • 30% of the final grade will be given by the tutor with the evaluation, distributed according to specific regulations of the degree, of the deliveries made during the follow-up
  • 70% of the final grade will be put by the court, after the TFG is filed

The TFG will be assessed by the court after its filing. The evaluation will consider the work done and the quality of the documentation. As established by the TFG Regulations, to access the grade described above it is essential to pass (obtain a grade of 5 or more) the court.

The court will evaluate the TFG based on the technical and artistic difficulty, achievement of objectives, usefulness, rigor and quality of work, among others. The TFG Committee of the degree will publish, where applicable, the objective criteria with which the TFG will be assessed, at the beginning of the process, in accordance with the TFG Regulations and through the appropriate documentation, if applicable.

Prior to the court hearing, the TFG Degree Commission will review the documentation submitted to detect form defects. In the event of serious defects, the documentation may be returned to the student, who must rectify the defects within a very short period of time, as stipulated in the TFG Regulations.

 

In case of confinement, the defense of the TFG will be done through a telematic system.
