Description


The main conditions and treatments in the field of urogynecological, abdominal, coloproctological and sexual physiotherapy were presented in the subject.

The main objective of the course is to train students to:

• Know and identify pathologies in the field of urogynecological fission.

• Assess the patient.

• Design and perform the treatment.

• Carry out group work plans.

• Design prevention strategies

 

Learning outcomes


- Identifies the main treatments used in physiotherapy interventions for each of the clinical specialties. Classify them according to their effect and importance and establish order of priorities in their therapeutic application.

 

- Analyze the effects produced by the interventions. Evaluate benefits and risks and establish an intervention criterion based on the priorities and effects pursued.

 

- Analyzes the patient's expectations for each of the clinical specialties with respect to their evolution, demands and needs.

 

 

- Establishes the intervention protocol based on the joint negotiation between therapist and patient.

 

- Assess the patient's physical and mental condition. It determines the level of severity, dysfunctions, disabilities and limitations both individually and socially.

 

- Apply technologies for patient assessment. It incorporates new measuring instruments that facilitate the objectification of interventions. Participates in the validation of assessment tools for incorporation into clinical practice.

 

 

- Carry out the specific physiotherapeutic diagnosis for each of the clinical specialties in order to determine the dysfunctions and disabilities that will require a specific physiotherapy intervention.

 

- Interact with other health and physical activity professionals to base an intervention plan based on the specific clinical diagnoses of each of the professions.

 

- Interacts with medical professionals to gain therapeutic effectiveness. Establish joint intervention goals.

Individual activities and participation in class activities

 

Group work is part of the ongoing assessment. It will be published in the moodle of the subject and will be related to the syllabus. Students' participation in the activities proposed in the face-to-face classes and in the classroom forums will be valued.

 

 

Possibility of Obtaining Honorary Enrollment

 

Quan the final grade of the subject be of Excellent (from 9 to 10 points), the student will be able to choose to obtain the qualification of matrícula of honor (MH) to criterion of the educational.

According to UPF academic regulations, the maximum number of MHs possible in a subject is 5% in relation to the total number of students enrolled in it.
