They will have the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), as coordinator, and the TecnoCampus, a center attached to the UPF, as their main headquarters and University Sports Village 2023/2024.

The TecnoCampus University Center yesterday hosted the inauguration of the 39th edition of the Catalan University Championships (CCU), which this year will have Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) as coordinator, and TecnoCampus, a center attached to the UPF, as main headquarters and University Sports Village 2023/2024.

From November 14 to 16, and from November 21 to 23, Mataró will host the first day of the championships, in which most disciplines will be contested in the team sports mode. During these six days, the facilities will host the official competitions of the different Catalan universities, which will compete at the Catalan level in order to be able to obtain, later and with the most advanced school year, the prize of participating in the state championships. The next CCU meetings will be held in mid-February, and the last one in mid-March, coinciding with the finals. 

Yesterday's event was attended by members and boards of rectors from the twelve Catalan universities, who listened to the speeches of the rector of Pompeu Fabra University, Laia de Nadal; the mayor of Mataró and president of the TecnoCampus Mataró-Maresme Foundation, David Bote; and the general secretary of Sport of the Generalitat, Anna Caula. All of them emphasized the key role played by sport in university education
