They were delivered on Wednesday 18 October as part of a conference on the impact of Artificial Intelligence in the sector

The Reimagine Textile awards recognized the best entrepreneurial initiatives in the sector in an event in which the impact that Artificial Intelligence can have on the sector was put on the table.

The day, called TEX & TECH and promoted by TecnoCampus and Eurecat, has been co-financed by the Provincial Council of Barcelona and sponsored by Farside, Bobo Choses and Neuronal Fashion by Raona.

The awarded companies were:

  • Flashion (digital model and innovation plus awards): has a mission to revolutionize the professional fashion industry through the power of artificial intelligence. The platform proposes an integrated solution, which includes design, marketing and production optimization tools. All of them driven by artificial intelligence.
  • Infinite Athletic (sustainability and circular economy award): sports brand of tennis and padel clothing. The project is dedicated to recycling the strings of tennis rackets, to be able to manufacture their own polymer and fabric, and thus make eco-designed sports pieces.
  • Techno Textile Domains (functional textile award): born seeing the need for the large number of occupational accidents and the need to guarantee the safety of people working in industrial environments. It proposes the application of an intelligent and functional fabric capable of geolocating personnel when there are evacuations and guaranteeing a more efficient rescue.

During the day, Jaume Ferrús, vice-president of the Eurecat Technology Center; Sergi Morales, second lieutenant of Mayor and councilor for Prosperous City, Wealth Generation and Decent Work; Jordi Marcè, vice president of ACTE Spain and councilor for Economic Revitalization, Urban Environment and Sustainability of the Igualada City Council, and David Bote, Mayor of Mataró and president of the TecnoCampus Foundation, highlighted the Reimagine Textile program, which with the support of European funds, it makes available to the sector a program to promote entrepreneurship and an incubator for new business projects.
