It is about the film entitled Los Frustrado, directed by Martí Rovira with the support of the students of the subject of Filmmaking Techniques in the second year of the degree.

A short film made by students of the Audiovisual Media Degree at TecnoCampus was screened at the recent Sitges Festival. It is about the film entitled Los Frustrado, directed by Martí Rovira with the support of the students of the subject of Filmmaking Techniques in the second year of the degree.

This work is one of the practices of the subject, which consisted of creating a short following the style of filmmaker Wes Anderson. It was done in just two weeks and very little budget. "About 46 euros to pay for the fake blood and things like that", explains Martí Rovira, who emphasizes that these limitations encouraged them to look for creative solutions for the short.

The film is largely starred by non-professional actors and friends of the students. "Everything was done in a very naive and naive way", comments Rovira. The argument of Los Frustrados introduces us to Juan, the last living member of the Frustrat family. Next to the tree where great-grandfather Román is buried, he reviews the peculiar and violent history of the family. It's a short short with a lot of humor, despite its slightly macabre theme. Before arriving in Sitges, the short had been seen at the Mataró Film Market.

The opportunity to participate in the Sitges Festival came about through the initiative of a professor of the Audiovisual Media Degree at TecnoCampus, who contacted the authors of the short to tell them that he wanted to present it at the festival. Then, they tweaked some technical aspects of the short to improve the film's finish. Martí Rovira is pleased to have presented the short in this section where other shorts from film schools such as ESCAC were also shown. "It was very nice to see our short projected in a room full of people, the Prado, with people laughing at the gags and having a good time," he explains.

The director also had the opportunity to meet director Jaume Balagueró and composer Alfonso de Vilallonga, members of the jury. As TecnoCampus teacher Andrea Fernández says, "it's an honor that a second degree project has made it to this festival".
