The TecnoCampus presented today the EDUX Innovación Digital Mataró program, promoted by HUB4T, the permanent training center of the university center.

This program wants to become a digital innovation platform aimed at educational centers through training and support in the use and application of audiovisual technologies in the classroom.

At the same time, the project aims to create a collaboration network between the participating centers focused on the digital skills of teachers in the media field. The program addresses 8 educational centers in the city of Mataró and will have the participation of more than 100 teachers, in a pioneering initiative to promote innovation and the improvement of digital skills in the educational field.

The project has been selected in the call for the digital impulse in education of the Department of Education of the Generalitat of Catalonia. It has funding from the Next Generation fund, with a budget of 134.800 euros. The program consists of an itinerary that includes joint work sessions between participating public and charter schools, personalized sessions at each of the centers and an MRCDD training (Framework of Reference for Teaching Digital Competence) at level B2.2, where the axes thematic and strategic areas that will be developed are communication, languages and media education, as well as critical thinking.

This digital innovation project incorporates an audiovisual kit, which has already been delivered today to the representatives of each of the eight participating centers to promote learning based on real situations and provide the center with essential equipment for implementation of digital communication projects. The coordinators of the program are TecnoCampus professors Àlex Araujo, for the academic part, and Carles Garcia, for the digital part.

The program, which lasts eight months, is divided into three phases. In the first and third, professional commitment is worked on, through the creation of a collaboration network between public and private centers in the city. In this sense, the various meetings proposed aim to define transversal platforms for collaboration in the audiovisual field of the proposal, with the creation of a joint digital newspaper that allows work on both empowerment and the development of competition digital in students.

In the second phase, face-to-face interventions will be carried out in each center that will be accompanied by training at the B2.2 level, which will allow working on digital content both from the point of view of research, creation and dissemination, and from the classroom application perspective through various teaching and learning strategies.

To guarantee the transfer of this knowledge to the processes applicable in the centers, after each work block of the course, face-to-face meetings will be coordinated which, with the support of the project staff, will serve to apply the contents in a practical way to the needs of each center

The Mataró Digital Innovation EDUX Network will be made up of the Public Administration (Mataró City Council Education Service and Maresme and Vallès Oriental Territorial Education Services), public and chartered centers and the University (TecnoCampus university center). The main objective will be the promotion, dynamism and support to guarantee the transmission of knowledge and good teaching practices in the digital field.

The network is based on three pillars:

1. LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS: Definition and use of digitization spaces and laboratories of the different centers and the University for the development of joint digital projects from the pre-seed phase to prototyping.

2. PUBLIC-PRIVATE COLLABORATION: Connection between administrations, the University and the city's educational centers. In phase 2, the incorporation of the company and the public is foreseen, enhancing the Quadruple Helix model for the development of joint digital transfer projects, connecting educational centers, companies and researchers.

3. DIGITAL INNOVATION COMMUNITY: Creation of a physical and virtual environment to share and create new innovative projects and manage knowledge.

The participating centers are: Institut Alexandre Satorras, Institut les Cinc Sènies, Pia Mataró School, GEM Private Foundation, INS Laia Arquera, INS Josep Puig i Cadafalch, Institut Miquel Biada and Institut Thos i Codina

The audiovisual bags that are delivered to the centers consist of: video camera with charger, extra battery, tripod and transport backpack, portable camera, wireless lapel microphone, wind screens, microphones, headphones, portable audio recorder, SD cards, basic lighting pack, led ring hoop and light diffuser screen. TecnoCampus will also be equipped with the same audiovisual equipment that will be located in an ad-hoc training space "learning lab" located at the HUB4T premises.
