Startup Capital is a direct aid offered by ACCIÓ for emerging technology startups that need financing to carry out the initial phases of the business, develop their product or service and validate the business model to reach the market. It is a highly competitive grant, the 2023 call has a budget of two million euros, which finances only 20 Catalan startups.

The startups of the TecnoCampus business community Aims Medical and Medchemfarma are two of the 20 startups that have obtained this aid for lost funds. 

AIMS Medical is a spin-off of the Consorci Sanitari del Maresme that is dedicated to developing cutting-edge technologies that allow medical professionals to improve diagnosis and manage age-related diseases. Its ultimate goal is to transform the way healthcare providers address age-related diseases, using technology to drive more effective and efficient care. 

Medchemfarma, a company founded in 2022, is active in the discovery and development of new cancer treatments based on covalent inhibitors of kinase enzymes for immuno-oncological therapies with the aim of improving their response rate in these treatments.
