AIMS Medical, selected in the PASS program to facilitate access to the Catalan health system

February 24, 2026

Ten innovative solutions from the BioRegion of Catalonia have been selected in the first call for INNOPASS – Healthcare System Access Program (PASS), an initiative promoted by Biocat, CatSalut, the Healthcare Quality and Evaluation Agency of Catalonia (AQuAS) and the TIC Salut i Social Foundation with the aim of facilitating the adoption of innovation within the public healthcare system.

AIMS Medical, from the TecnoCampus, selected in the PASS program to facilitate access to the Catalan health system

Among the chosen initiatives, AIMS Medical stands out, a company housed in the TecnoCampus, which thus consolidates the role of Mataró's innovation ecosystem as a pole of attraction for high-value projects in the field of health and medical technology.

The selected solutions —in biotechnology, digital health, medical devices and advanced diagnostics— already have mature technologies, but face key challenges such as integration into the healthcare system, public procurement or scalability. In this regard, Biocat CEO, Robert Fabregat Fuentes, points out: “We want to prevent companies from having to knock on so many doors and help them take the most efficient and direct path to the healthcare system.”

The PASS program offers a structured itinerary to evaluate, validate and connect these solutions with key players in the Catalan healthcare system. In addition to AIMS Medical, the ten participating solutions are: ADmit Therapeutics, Aniling, eVISIO (Fundació Salut Empordà), Inbiomotion, Loop Dx, Mediktor, MiWEndo Solutions, Signatera (Palex Group) and REVEAL GENOMICS.
