Base4 Biosciences closes a one million euro financing round

Base4 Biosciences, a startup incubated at TecnoCampus and spin-off of the Sant Pau Research Institute, has closed a funding round of one million euros to accelerate the development of a systems biology platform, an innovative technology that allows the analysis of organ aging and advances towards more precise and equitable medicine, with a special impact on reducing the gender gap in health.

Base4 bases its proposal on solid scientific support, with research published in the prestigious journal Science and a long history in the Barcelona healthcare ecosystem. This technical base has been key for the company to now be able to make a double strategic leap. 

On the one hand, it has closed a financing round of one million euros that has the support of relevant investors such as KeyFame, Pibnic (driven by the founders of Factorial) and several business angels linked to Masia VC. 

On the other hand, their location in the TecnoCampus incubator provides them with the necessary infrastructure to scale their operations and bring their technology to market.
