The Catalan Youth Agency of the Department of Social Welfare and Family has announced two of the five scholarships in the Connecta't program of the Carnet Jove for 2011. These are five calls to facilitate young people's access to the professional world in the areas of design, comics, photography, radio and the press. These scholarships, endowed with 5.000 euros each, consist of a one-year collaboration with a leading company in each field. The two that have been convened today are the following:

- 'Connect to design': The winner will perform the design and illustration tasks of the 2012 Carnet Jove Connecta't Program calls.

- 'Connect to the lyrics': the scholarship consists of collaborating as a journalist with the newspaper' Avui 'for 12 months.

The submission of proposals can be done online through www.carnetjove.cat/connected. The works can be delivered until the day April 28, period from which they will be evaluated by juries specialized in each of the topics. The other scholarships are:

- 'Connect to comic': The winner will publish comic strips in the magazine El Jueves and Medicampus.
- Connect to radio ': The selected person will collaborate professionally for a season in a radio program of the Flash Group.
- 'Connect to photo report': The winner will publish a monthly report in newspapers and magazines of the Catalan Free Press Association, with a minimum circulation of 300.000 copies.
