This summer, TecnoCampus is the home of the Summer School and Summer Conference 2025, organized by the European Academy of Nursing Science (EANS), one of the most prestigious scientific networks in the field of nursing in Europe. This international event will see Mataró receive nearly 150 participants until July 11th, including doctoral students and leading researchers.
The EANS Summer School, which runs from June 30 to July 11, is a three-year training program for doctoral students in nursing science. Through keynote lectures, networking sessions, debates and poster presentations, participants will delve into topics such as public health research, ethics and technologies applied to clinical practice.
The last days of the meeting, specifically on July 9 and 10, will see the EANS annual summer scientific conference, which will include conferences, workshops, presentations and a poster session. This is a top-level scientific meeting that will make nursing research carried out in Catalonia more visible and strengthen the territory's leadership in the European arena. With the motto "Mental health and well-being: the role of nursing in response to global challenges", the conference will focus on one of the great current public health challenges: mental health.
The initiative is led by Esther Cabrera, coordinator of the GRACIS group and director of the Chair of Ageing and Quality of Life at TecnoCampus, and has a large organizing team formed by teachers and researchers from the TecnoCampus nursing degree. In addition to the academic program, the event will include several institutional and social events. On Monday, July 7, an official reception will take place at the Nau Gaudí, chaired by the mayor of Mataró, David Bote, with representatives of the University and members of the EANS Steering Committee.
On July 10, the academy's traditional gala dinner will be held in Mas Pujol (Cabrera de Mar). With this reception, TecnoCampus reinforces its commitment to applied research and the international projection of knowledge generated in the field of health, while consolidating Mataró as a university and scientifically active city.
