A team of teaching researchers from the Degree in Nursing, led by Carlos Martínez Gaitero and formed by Gemma Garreta i Parés, Esther Mateo, Laura Curell and Carolina Chabrera, have been awarded the prize of the 6th Call for Teaching Research and Innovation Projects of the CNDE (National Conference of Nursing Deans) corresponding to the period 2021-2022.

The prize has been awarded in recognition of his teaching innovation project, entitled "The contribution of Service Learning in the education of Social Justice in the Degree in Nursing". This project is part of the doctoral thesis of one of the members of the research team, Gemma Garreta, and aims to analyze the impact of Service Learning on the change in students' attitudes towards social justice

This innovative approach promotes the active participation of students in projects and activities that seek to improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable people and communities in the territory, all the while fostering a critical awareness of social justice. The project has been selected among the most outstanding teaching innovation projects in all of Spain, being one of the eleven awarded projects at national level.

This recognition underlines the relevance and impact of the project in the field of teaching and training in nursing. This recognition reinforces TecnoCampus' commitment to excellence in research, teaching and the promotion of innovative projects in the academic field of Nursing, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promoting commitment and social responsibility of students,
