The students of the Degree in Audiovisual Media Claudia Vizuete and Andrea Lajara have received the Special Industry Award in the non-fiction category within the Talent Week, thanks to the Matrescencia project, a documentary series that explores motherhood from an intimate and vulnerable perspective. The jury has given a very positive assessment to the project, which shows the emotions, challenges and silences that accompany many mothers, and which, through real stories, seeks to make maternal mental health visible and open a space for listening, empathy and understanding.

El Special Industry Award is an initiative that arises from several member companies of the Audiovisual Cluster, and whose aim is to contribute, through its services, to the conclusion of a non-fiction work. Matrescencia had been selected in the University-Industry Audiovisual Pitching, the main event of the Talent Week.

For two days, projects from subjects, final year and master's theses from Catalan and state university centers are shown before a table formed by professionals from the sector in the categories of fiction, non-fiction, entertainment, video games and new technologies and immersive experiences.

In this edition, up to five projects from the Degree in Audiovisual Media and the Degree in Video Game Design and Production were selected to participate in this competition organized by the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia.
