The 2024-2025 academic year starts with more than a thousand new students accessing degrees

The TecnoCampus starts the 2024-2025 academic year with a number that exceeds, once again, the thousand new students (1.004) in undergraduate studies, and 128 official master's degrees. The mayor and president of the TecnoCampus, David Bote, accompanied by the vice president, Sergi Morales, and the general manager, Josep Lluís Checa, announced in a press conference the construction of a new building in the coming years to cope with the expected growth.

Demand for engineering degrees remains high since the pandemic, particularly in Computer Science, but also in industrial engineering, especially linked to the productive fabric of the territory. In the field of health, the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics is being consolidated, coinciding with the construction of a new gastronomic laboratory that will be inaugurated in 2025, as regards the Degree in Nursing, strong growth is already being experienced the degree with the most new students (112) and the one with the most total students (391). Regarding the elimination of the Personal Aptitude Tests to access the Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CAFE), it has produced a very positive impact on the demand for this degree. In business management degrees, the Business Administration and Innovation Management (AdE) and Marketing and Digital Communities (MKT) degrees maintain robust demand, while the Logistics Degree continues its growth for the fourth consecutive year.

This course, eleven TecnoCampus degrees have cut-off marks, which reaffirms the center's prestige in several academic areas.

During the current academic year, the process to offer the new one begins Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Applied Robotics in the 2026-2027 academic year, a degree that responds to the growing demand for professional profiles in this field. The TecnoCampus Educational Framework is also deployed, aligned with that of the UPF but with an emphasis on entrepreneurship, with cooperative learning activities at all grades.

With regard to master's degrees, this year the official master's degree in secondary school teacher training in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences is launched with 32 students enrolled. Among the future projects in continuing education stands out the "Master in Management for Global Business", aimed at university graduates and with an international focus.

The TecnoCampus also continues to grow as a business hub, with 132 companies housed in the park, which have 808 employees and together invoice 400 million euros per year. The park's incubators host 37 companies, and over the last year 76 new companies have been created with an investment of almost 2 million euros and 115 jobs created.

In this morning's press conference, it was reported that progress is being made in the planning of a new building that will be located in the Yveco-Pegaso area, right next to the current TecnoCampus buildings. The mayor, David Bote, has explained that public-private collaboration will be sought to finance the investment and that work is currently being done on the use plan and the financial plan for this facility. It is appreciated that it is a multi-purpose building with the capacity to accommodate both business activity and university training or in the field of professional higher education.
