The next Wednesday, October 27 at 12 noon will take place at TecnoCampus linauguration ceremony of the 2010-2011 academic year.

During the event will take place the inaugural lesson by the Dr. Gabriel Ferraté, under the title To adapt to a changing world: training, talent and creativity .
Dr. Ferraté is a trained engineer. He was rector of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 1972 to 1976, leaving the post when he was appointed Director General of Universities and Research and later Director General of Science Policy. He was re-elected rector of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 1978 to 1994. In 1995 he was the founder of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and was elected rector, a position he held until 2005. He is currently president of the Institut Cerdà and the Fundació Caixa Tarragona and member of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans, the Academy of Medical Sciences of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands and the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona. In 1996 he received the Creu de Sant Jordi.

The event will be attended by the Rectors Magnificent of the Polytechnic Universities of Catalonia, Antoni Giró, and Pompeu Fabra, Josep Joan Moreso.
