The program of subjects for the Degree in Audiovisual Media this year includes a subject designed jointly by the university center and tvmataró, the public television of the capital of Maresme. It is an elective called Television reporting, which will be taught by the channel's professionals. Precisely, part of the subject will take place at Estudis Bis Lligonya, which are the headquarters of the channel and which, precisely, have been located in the TecnoCampus since 2011.
The agreement, signed last Wednesday by the top managers of tvmataró, Oriol Burgada, and TecnoCampus, Josep Lluís Checa, establishes that, as part of the subject, the reports will become a television program that broadcast by TDT and laxarxa+, so that students develop an academic work with the demands of a working environment, apart from the practice credits already provided for in the studies.
In this way, the two parties tighten the ties and the exchange of knowledge between the academic and the professional world. The new collaboration framework between TecnoCampus and tvmataró also establishes the channel's participation in final degree projects (TFG), the expansion of the range of internships and participation in presentations.
In addition to the TecnoCampus Audiovisual Media Degree studies, the second local television station in all of Catalonia has been born in the capital of Maresme. Today, tvmataró is the heir to the old Televisió de Mataró (TVM), a private, non-profit channel, which was born in 1984 thanks to the Collective of Audiovisual Media. The impetus of this organization made Mataró the second city in Catalonia with local television.
