Garcia-Fresneda, in addition to being a professor at TecnoCampus, works as head of high performance for the Spanish Federation of Sports for People with Physical Disabilities (FEDDF), a position from which he leads the scientific monitoring of the national team.

Sílvia Montero, a former student of TecnoCampus, who works as a physiotherapist for the Spanish national team, was also present at this concentration. The concentration was carried out in collaboration with David Suárez, from the University of León, and with the State Reference Center for the Care of People with Severe Disabilities and for the Promotion of Personal Autonomy and Care for Dependency (CRMF), located in Sant Andreu del Rabanedo (León).

During the training camp, the research team conducted an assessment of the performance status of the national team players. The analyses carried out included strength, speed and power of the first push of the wheelchair, sprinting, endurance, and shoulder health by assessing joint mobility and isometric strength.

This participation is part of the line of research into adapted sports that is being developed by the TecnoCampus Health Department, and which has recently also given rise to the doctoral thesis of professor Jordi Sánchez Grau.
