Last September 7, the Mataró Water General Board approved the appointment of Eloi Serrano as president of the Board of Directors. 

 

The new president of Aigües de Mataró is also Director of the Department of Social Economy at the TecnoCampus university center, attached to Pompeu Fabra University, where he is a professor of economics in the Department of Business, as well as a researcher associated with CIDOB . 

Aigües de Mataró (AMSA) is a capital company wholly owned by the Mataró City Council, which, in accordance with its statutes and the program contract with the City Council, is responsible for the comprehensive management of Mataró's water the city. 

The purpose of the company is the direct management of the public drinking water supply service, the sanitation and purification of waste water, from the collection, regulation, conduction, treatment, storage and distribution of potable water, as well as the collection, conduction, purification and disposal of rainwater and waste water. Since 2020, it has also managed the TubVerd service.
