The organizers of the LUDI Awards presented the theme of their third edition at TecnoCampus on October 2. The 2025 edition has a new challenge: designing a prototype of a video game designed for children aged 6 to 8, with an educational and curricular purpose.

The LUDI Awards, promoted by 3Cat and Game BCN, were presented at TecnoCampus for the third consecutive year with the aim of giving visibility to university talent in the field of video games.

In the presentation, they announced this year's challenge: to design a prototype video game designed for children aged 6 to 8. To keep the community alive, the organizers have created a Discord channel where participants can follow the latest news, join meetings and participate in activities related to the project.

The Ludi Awards are part of a broader strategy around video games that 3Cat began promoting last year with various actions, initiatives and projects. An example is the "Crims" video game, released in May, which has already accumulated 65.000 downloads and will be updated with new cases in the coming months. One of 3Cat's main objectives is to contribute to promoting the video game sector in Catalonia.

In this sense, calls are held annually that this 2025, for example, will culminate in new video games for mobile phones, tablets, computers and video consoles, developed by Catalan companies with extensive experience.
