Over the past two weeks, TecnoCampus has hosted the team from the French company Somno Engineering as part of its softlanding program, an initiative that allows international companies to learn about the local ecosystem, access strategic agents and be supported in the business landing process. The stay included an intensive agenda of meetings with institutions, clusters and technology providers to identify synergies and opportunities for clinical validation.
One of the central points of the visit was the presentation and validation of SleepScan - a monitoring solution proposed by the company - at two reference centers: Hospital del Mar and Hospital Mútua de Terrassa.
In these sessions, professionals from the ICU and anesthesiology areas were able to learn first-hand about the technology and provide clinical assessments for its future implementation. The agenda also included meetings with key players in the Catalan health innovation ecosystem, such as Biocat – BioRegion of Catalonia, BCNMedicare and CRB Health Tech SGEIC.
These meetings have allowed for a deeper understanding of the mechanisms for supporting international startups, market entry routes and specialized financing programs. The delegation has also participated in a working session at CareCityLab, the urban health living lab of the TecnoCampus. In parallel, a meeting has been held with Pierre Couturier, representative of Neoloji Technopole, within the framework of the softlanding agreement that facilitates the landing of international projects in the territory.
This immersion has generated significant results: Somno Engineering is evaluating the opening of a subsidiary in Catalonia from 2026, which reinforces the position of TecnoCampus as a gateway for talent and technology to the Catalan innovation system.
