TecnoCampus participates in the European project Sustain4Future, funded by the European Commission through the EIT HEI Initiative program. The objective of the project, led by VIA University College (Denmark) and with a consortium formed by nine European universities and entities, is to promote innovation and sustainable entrepreneurship in European universities.

Sustain4Future responds to the need for higher education institutions to become drivers of change in the face of global challenges such as climate change, resource scarcity or social inequalities. The first actions to be carried out at TecnoCampus will be:

  • Sustainability training for teaching and administrative staff. Sònia Llorrens, professor at TecnoCampus and former director of the Circular Economy Chair, will provide practical and applied training to integrate sustainability criteria into teaching, project management and the institution's daily activities.
  • Programs for students, who will have the opportunity to work with international teams and explore how sustainability can become a driver of innovation and responsible entrepreneurship.
  • Support for startups that develop sustainable solutions, with access to resources, mentoring and growth opportunities.

At the same time, the connection of these initiatives with the international network of universities and innovation hubs of the project will be promoted, favoring access to training, investment and mentoring on an international scale. Professor Ester Bernadó, project leader at TecnoCampus, together with Marta Carceller, technician of the research support service, participated in Aarhus (Denmark) in a meeting organized by VIA College University, where the lines of work for the coming months were agreed.
