This year's edition brought together more than 50.000 participants from 40 countries, 2.000 international investors and 500 exhibitors with cutting-edge projects in areas such as artificial intelligence, biomedicine and new energies.
With its own stand, TecnoCampus has made known its training programs, support for start-ups and business growth, and has presented its ecosystem of integration of University, business and innovation. Within the framework of the congress, the general director of TecnoCampus, Josep Lluís Checa, has offered the conference “How TecnoCampus turns research into real-world impact” in the Summit's main auditorium.
“This participation reinforces the role of TecnoCampus as a connector between university talent and the business ecosystem, and opens up new opportunities for collaboration with top-level institutions and companies,” highlighted Josep Lluís Checa, general director of TecnoCampus. Taking advantage of its stay in Beijing, the delegation —formed by Josep Lluís Checa, Luz Fernández (head of Continuing Education) and Maria Palet (internationalization technician)— has carried out several institutional visits and strategic meetings. Among them, the visit to HICOOL Industrial Park stands out, with whom TecnoCampus has recently signed a collaboration agreement to strengthen the links between both innovation ecosystems.
Likewise, academic cooperation has been strengthened with the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), with whom they are trying to promote joint academic programs. Meetings have also been held with Catalonia Trade & Investment (ACCIÓ Beijing) and other local institutions, such as the Shunyi District Science and Technology Commission, to explore new avenues of cooperation in innovation and technology transfer. “These collaborations open the door to new opportunities for TecnoCampus start-ups in the Chinese market and for joint research and applied innovation projects,” added Checa.
