The El Maresme Foundation leads the organization of the Matarón Summer Campus "i-Talent+", with the collaboration of the TecnoCampus and the Entramat Association, and the financing of the ONCE Foundation and the European Social Fund. 30 young people aged between 18 and 30 have enjoyed 10 days of a space for coexistence and inclusive training to improve their autonomy and increase employment opportunities.

The "i-Talent+" Summer University Campus in Mataró is one of fifteen in the ONCE Foundation's UniDiversidad program financed by the European Social Fund, and are being organized for the first time throughout the State. A total of 22 universities and 22 third sector entities collaborate. This first edition represents a firm step towards the inclusion and promotion of the autonomy and employment opportunities of this vulnerable group.

The El Maresme Foundation leads the organization of the Matarón campus, with the academic collaboration of the TecnoCampus Social Economy Chair and the support of the TecnoCampus permanent training center, HUB4T, as well as the Entramat Association, who collaborates in the leisure project and especially in accompanying the participants.

The Matarón campus benefits 30 young people aged between 18 and 30 with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities and/or those on the autistic spectrum who are unemployed and enrolled in the National Youth Guarantee System. The i-Talent+ Summer Campus is a fun and educational experience that complements the annual i-Talent university specialty course.

The fundamental objective of these first campuses is to provide an enriching and educational experience during a 10-day stay in a boarding house located in the Maresme. The thirty people participating in the program will enjoy sports, cultural and leisure activities while working on social and competence skills to improve their autonomy and, at the same time, increase employment opportunities.

The Maresme Foundation and the TecnoCampus have been collaborating for years in promoting opportunities for young people with intellectual disabilities. They do this through the "i-Talent, Specialization Course for Inclusivity, Innovation and Socio-Labour Insertion", which is in its third edition this September. This formative experience has been the foundation that has allowed the development of a summer campus of these characteristics in the city of Mataró.

The inaugural event of the Summer Campus took place last September 1 with a show held in Pep Plaza and an interactive dynamic with the public at the hands of the Fundació el Maresme. It also had the presence and interventions of Ismael Hernández, coordinator of the Chair of Social Economy at TecnoCampus; Albert Vidal, managing director of the Maresme Foundation; Silvia Lucia Duarte, head of universities at the ONCE Foundation in Madrid; and the general director of the TecnoCampus, Josep Lluís Checa, who closed the event.
