TecnoCampus participated on October 10, 11 and 12 in the BCN Game Fest video game fair, formerly “IndieDevDay”, with games created by students of the Video Games degrees and the double degree in Video Games and Computer Science.
This fair is the most important video game fair in the country. At the fair we will find indie studios, well-established companies, such as THQ Nordic - Alkimia, Larian Studios or Anchor Point and publishers such as Devolver Digital. The games that have been presented by TecnoCampus are: Mud, MyTosis -A Life Mission-, Time S*cks, Sunrise, Fabra and Llull and Danger Zone., developed by students of 2nd and 3rd year of Video Games and 5th year of the double degree. This last game, presented by students Aroa Ochoa, Elijah Cano, Jan Campalans, Javier Jiménez, Júlia Castro, Nil Puigdemont and Ruben Zuñiga, has won an honorable mention. A game that was developed during the Project III subject of the Video Games degree in the hands of Daniel Candil, Javier Untoria and Rafael González. An award that is given according to the following criteria of excellence: art, level of finish, level design, mechanics, innovation, sound and music and gamefeel.
The coordinator of the degree in Video Games, Joan Josep Pons, highlights that participation in the fair "provides contacts and exposure for students' work and the opportunity to participate in activities such as the Talent Job Fair", a joint initiative of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the organizers of BCN Game Fest (formerly IndieDevDay) designed especially for students and professionals who want to make their way in the video game industry, and which offers the opportunity to connect with companies that are looking to expand their teams.
