El Degree in Nursing once again organizes the Objective and Structured Clinical Evaluation (ACOE) tests, which allow students to test their technical and non-technical skills such as knowledge, critical thinking, decision-making, interpersonal skills, communication and ethical aspects.

The second-year students were the first to take the tests, which were carried out last June 19, 20 and 21 as part of the subject Nursing Care for Adults III. Third-year students were examined on June 28, 29 and 30 in the Clinical Practice III subject. In this 11th edition of the tests, more than 170 students have been examined and teaching staff, researchers, evaluators, actors and logistics staff have participated to recreate more than 30 cases.

The ACOEs tests are carried out in the Center for Simulation and Innovation in Health (CSIS) and are developed through different stations that recreate relevant cases and pose real challenges for the students. During the two-hour test, students have two minutes to read each case and solve the situation in a maximum of ten minutes.

At the end of the test, each student receives their evaluation broken down by skills and is offered personalized advice to set individual work goals for the next academic year.

In addition, this course saw the 5th edition of the Objective and Structured Assessment of Technical Skills (AOEHT), which allows the technical skills of procedures to be assessed at an initial level. This test is part of the Integrated Nursing III subject and was held last June 8 and 9, where 90 first-year students participated.
