The first edition in Catalan and Spanish of the Getting Contacts Woman, held today at the congress and meeting center of the park TecnoCampus Mataró-Maresme, has had an excellent reception. About 250 women entrepreneurs and managers took part, sharing knowledge in the usual small group meetings that characterize these work sessions. But in addition to this they have been able to enjoy a round table where women managers and top entrepreneurs have highlighted the challenge that still represents today for women to combine family life with a successful career. Doing so without taking on male roles or without marathon days is, according to the participants, one of the challenges.

The opening of the event was given by the mayor of Mataró, Joan Antoni Baron, who explained to the attendees the city's commitment to networking with initiatives such as the TecnoCampus Mataró-Maresme, a science and innovation park whose main promoter is the City Council. The president of IMPEM and the TecnoCampus Mataró-Maresme Foundation, Alícia Romero, explained that the commitment to talent (among which female talent stood out) is one of the identifying features of the TCM Foundation, where she pointed out 40% of managers are women.

The organizers of today's event are the association Getting Contacts, Mataró City Council (through the Municipal Institute for Economic Promotion), Catalunya Caixa and the TecnoCampus Mataró-Maresme Foundation.
