The student of the Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences and the Master's in Personal Training and Physical and Sports Rehabilitation Víctor Rodríguez Casado has presented his Master's Final Project at the XLVII edition of the Congress of the Iberian Society of Biomechanics and Biomaterials (SIBB), held on November 6 and 7 in San Sebastián, in the Basque Country.
The study, entitled “Validation of spatio-temporal parameters of the 1080sprint device against photoelectric cells in different load situations”, analyzes the accuracy of the 1080sprint, a sprint resistance system based on a cable controlled by an electric motor and monitored by computer.
The research compared split times and other performance-relevant parameters with those obtained through photoelectric cells, under various load conditions, with the aim of determining the validity of the device in speed training contexts in high-performance athletes.
The work, developed jointly with Ventura Ferrer Roca, biomechanic at the CAR of Sant Cugat, and TecnoCampus professors Bruno Fernández-Valdés Vila and Víctor Illera Domínguez, highlights the scientific rigor and practical applicability that distinguish TecnoCampus' final master's theses, reaffirming its commitment to research excellence and innovation in the sports field.
