The Doctor Daniel Torres gave a master class last week on "Typologies and analysis of audiovisual silences" at the 4th European Week, within the International Week of the Yasar University (Izmir, Turkey).
The class was about the acoustic and perceptual nature of silence, its cultural connotations, its characteristics in an audiovisual product, the distinction of the three basic analytical types of silence and the functions that these can develop in an audiovisual production. All with examples of current and historical audiovisual products.
Dr. Torras develops a line of research on audiovisual silence, a topic that is also part of his doctoral thesis.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Professor Torras promoted relations with this university, making a promotional presentation of the EUPMMT and the TecnoCampus and established contact with teachers and students interested in an exchange and collaboration.
