The professor of the Department of Technology Virginia Espinosa participated last May 29, as president, in a thesis panel in the assembly hall of the Institute of Marine Sciences of the CSIC.

In the thesis presented, a device for remote measurement of the transparency of the sea is proposed as an indicator of the water quality of the oceans through a network of sensors connected by RF, based on a new approach of radiometric measurement to estimate the coefficient d 'diffuse attenuation (which describes the extinction of light with depth), contributing to the evolution of new generation marine sensors. "Citizen science technologies for operational monitoring of aquatic ecosystems" is the title of the thesis presented by Carlos Rodero García, which was graded excellent.
