The Official College of Nurses of Barcelona (COIB) has recognized Professor Carolina Chabrera, coordinator of the Degree in Nursing at TecnoCampus, with the distinction of "woman of water", a distinction that values leadership, management and commitment to the nursing profession.

The award was presented last Friday, October 3, during the Maresme, Moianès and Vallès Oriental Nursing Conference, a space promoted by the COIB to give visibility to experiences and trajectories that contribute to strengthening nursing and its presence in all areas of society.

The recognition of “woman of water” is inspired by Catalan popular mythology, where these figures symbolize wisdom, balance, care and connection with nature. In the context of the nursing profession, this distinction represents the transformative force, sensitivity and commitment to the care of people and the environment. With a career spanning more than twenty years of professional and academic experience, Chabrera has been recognized for her leadership in university management and her ability to promote projects that connect training with the real needs of the health system.

The COIB has highlighted the impact of its work in consolidating a nursing model based on commitment, innovation, research and proximity to the community. The recognition comes at a special time, coinciding with the fifteenth anniversary of the launch of the TecnoCampus Nursing Degree, a milestone that reaffirms the center's commitment to training highly qualified, innovative and committed nurses to people's health.
