The TecnoCampus Congress Center hosted a conference on October 29th. new edition of Reimagine Textile Day, the benchmark day to promote innovation in the textile sector, during which the winning initiatives of the Reimagine Textile Awards.

The event, promoted by the Mataró City Council, TecnoCampus and the Eurecat technology center, has become a meeting place for professionals, companies, entrepreneurs and agents in the sector to learn about the latest trends and connect with experts.

This year's program combined conferences by leading voices in innovation, the presentation of a round table, a business case and, finally, the awarding of the Reimagine Textile Awards 2025The event was attended by Sergi Morales Díaz, deputy mayor of Mataró City Council and vice president of the TecnoCampus Foundation, who highlighted the key role played by textiles in Maresme, where it represents 21% of the regional GDP. 

For his part, Francesc Santasusana Riera, vice president of Eurecat, has underlined the role of the technology center as an innovation agent, highlighting the collaboration with the different actors in the sector and the technological capabilities and textile laboratories of the center. 

Francesc Casas, president of ASEGEMA, has called for more textile production in the territory and has highlighted the importance of attracting companies willing to invest in the Maresme. In terms of trends, THE POST FIBER has focused its intervention on the transformation of textile waste into new products, one of the main opportunities in the sector. Artificial intelligence has also been the protagonist in a debate on the use of generative AI, with the participation of representatives of ARTISO AI and TRENDIMENSIONAL. 

As a Business Case, the sponsor gold of the event, Bobo Choses, presented its commitment to recycled cotton, in a presentation by Cecilia Guarás, the brand's sustainability director. In the area of ​​business strategies, digitalization was one of the areas highlighted by David Garcia, executive director of MODACC – Catalan Fashion and Textile Cluster.

As for the awards, in the different categories, they were: 

  • Digital business model: TERRA TERRAE STUDIO. Combines fashion and technology to create timeless pieces with a digital passport and foster a digital community of women who share experiences, inspiration and style, connecting the physical and digital worlds. 
  • Sustainability and circular economy: NEW PASTURE. New Pasture revalues ​​sheep's wool through design and art, transforming it into functional and sustainable products that provide warmth and well-being. 
  • Best functional textile proposal: RITA SONDER. Develops sustainable and resistant technical tights, designed specifically for female climbers, responding to the main challenges of adaptation, performance and durability. 
  • Innovation Plus, for the added value it brings to society in innovation and sustainability: NEW PASTURE. 

During the event, a special mention was made to the White Jacket x YesWeSail! project for its contribution to society and its social impact, promoting the autonomy and inclusion of people with visual disabilities. 

The event was sponsored by Bobo Choses, funded by the Barcelona Provincial Council and collaborated with ACTE (European Textile Collectivities Association), ASEGEMA, Modacc (Catalan Fashion and Textile Cluster) and PIMEC.
