The Department of Health and the Research Group on Chronic Care and Health Innovation (GRACIS) of the TecnoCampus University Center of Mataró celebrated the closing ceremony of the 4D project, dedicated to the adoption of mobile technology in around the practices on October 23, which brought together nursing professionals from Catalonia and Andorra.
The 4D project, coordinated by TecnoCampus professors and researchers Esther Cabrera and Carlos Martinez and financed under the Erasmus+ program of the European Union, presents digital solutions for the clinical learning of health professionals.
The event is the end of a research process and aimed to make the results of the 4D project known to all university teaching and research staff, as well as internship tutors and professionals in the field of the health This event included the intervention of the director of the TecnoCampus Health Department, Meritxell Puyané, who gave the welcome on behalf of the TecnoCampus Foundation. In addition, it allowed to present the coordination team, which had the opportunity to explain the project in detail. The opening of the day was carried out by the guest speaker, Joan Guanyabens, director of the TIC Health and Social Foundation of Catalonia, who spoke about the innovation of the health system and the digital transformation in Catalonia, pointing out the importance of intelligence artificial in the health sector.
Presentations were organized into different results-oriented blocks, with input from consortium members, such as “Toolkit Presentation: Successful Adoption of Mobile Technology in Practice Environments” by Gilbert Peffer , representing Kubify; the “Mobile Application Demonstration for Each Place of Practice” featuring Justyna Krysa from the University of Lublin, Poland, and Cynthia Szalai from the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, in addition to Ariadna Huertas, from the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute in Badalona. The last presentation, "Evaluation and good practices on the introduction of technology in practices", by Cynthia Szalai, showed the preliminary results of the pilot study of the three universities involved.
The event welcomed more than 70 participants, with the assistance of the president of the Official Nursing College of Barcelona, Borja Manzanares, and the director of nursing care of the health system of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Carme Planas. Technological companies specializing in digital health in the territory also participated.
On the other hand, on October 24 and 25, the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute of Badalona was responsible for organizing the seventh and last transnational meeting of the project. In this work session, relevant topics such as the operation and sustainability of the project, the impact, good practices, publications and subsequent dissemination and promotion actions were discussed.
