Last Thursday, February 2, the seventh edition of the Postgraduate Course in Management of Cooperatives and Social Economy Enterprises was inaugurated. This training is promoted and organized by the Chair of Social Economy at TecnoCampus, with the support of the Department of Labor of the Generalitat de Catalunya and funding from the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy of the Government of Spain.

The fundamental objective of the course is to train professionals to carry out their activities in the field of the social and cooperative economy. On the one hand, it improves the training levels of professionals who are currently working in these organizations; on the other hand, it trains young professionals who want to develop their professional career in these organizations. The course will provide students with the necessary skills to create, develop, manage, research, innovate and lead cooperatives and social economy enterprises, as well as to facilitate cooperation between them.

It is an eminently practical program, which facilitates and makes known the tools necessary for the good internal functioning of social economy entities and cooperatives and promotes entrepreneurial and innovative skills as engines of change in these organizations . During the event, a conference was held on models of credit cooperatives, by Joan Cavallé, director general of Caixa d'Enginyers. The inauguration was attended by Eloi Serrano, director of the postgraduate program and of the Chair of Social Economy at TecnoCampus; Josep Lluís Checa, general director of the TecnoCampus, Sergi Morales Díaz, second deputy mayor, councilor for Employment and Business, Social Economy; Ismael Hernández Adell and Màrian Buil, postgraduate coordinators.
