Recuwaste 2023 is the seventh edition of the event, par excellence, in the circular economy and waste of the entire Maresme, organized by the Consorci de Residus del Maresme and with the academic support of the Circular Economy Chair of the TecnoCampus. It will be held on November 14 and 15 at the TecnoCampus Conference Center.

The event brings together experts to share knowledge, strategies and innovative technologies that are transforming waste management worldwide, and directing the production and consumption model towards the circular economy. It is about creating an international stage able to discuss and spread the concept of waste as a resource, to talk about the effects of the resource and energy crisis we are in, and to explain the mechanisms and obligations that public institutions are being put on the table to favor a transition towards circularity, such as legislation on decarbonisation, plastics and waste management, or new economic and Industry 4.0 instruments.

The congress includes two inspiring conferences, one on growth and well-being and the other on entrepreneurship and innovation, and a music concert. Besides, it opens again the Alfonso Maíllo prize, endowed with €1.000, which will be awarded to the most innovative work on waste management. These works will be presented in the form of posters and in a 3-minute oral presentation in front of the auditorium. It will be the public who will vote for them to choose the award-winning work. Anyone who wants to participate must submit their solution/project before September 30, 2023 at 23:59 p.m.

The Waste Consortium, the Circular Economy Chair of the TecnoCampus and other experts will select the ten works that will be exhibited during the congress. In addition, these works will appear in the Recuwaste 2023 catalog, they will have free access to the congress and for three months they will be able to establish synergies with the TecnoCampus and the Chair of Circular Economy and Sustainability, participating in competitions, advisory programs, dynamics to create networks and funding days.
