The institution will dedicate around two million euros in scholarships, grants and discounts in 2026. At yesterday's event, scholarships linked to academic excellence were awarded, and first, prizes were awarded to the best final degree projects in memory of Léonard Janer and Núria Fernández, two university professors at the center.

In an event that brought together a hundred people in the Foyer, TecnoCampus awarded scholarships and academic recognitions of various types yesterday at noon that reward the academic excellence of undergraduate and master's students, as well as the best final degree projects of the last year.

After the formal welcome by the general director of TecnoCampus, Josep Lluís Checa, and the vice-rector of Pompeu Fabra University Pablo Pareja, the distribution of diplomas corresponding to the Talent scholarships began, which are awarded to the best records among all those who access the various degrees and double degrees of TecnoCampus.

Next, the Impulsa and Procare scholarships were awarded, in this case for university master's degrees, as well as the scholarships that are fully or partially financed thanks to contributions from companies and institutions: Aquahotel, Fecunmed, Tusgsal, Fundació Caixa Enginyers, Club Esportiu Futsal Mataró, Centre Natació Mataró, CB Boet and Club Hoquei Mataró.

In the second part of the event, the awards were given to the best Final Degree Projects (TFG) in various fields. This year, two awards were given for the first time, recognizing the career of two TecnoCampus teachers. On the one hand, the Léonard Janer Award, a professor in the field of technology, and, on the other, the Núria Fernández Award, in the field of economics and business.

The diplomas to the winners of these two awards were presented by relatives of the two professors, who emphasized that through these awards their memory and the mark they left on various promotions of university students are preserved.

In the case of the Léonard Janer Prize, dedicated to cybersecurity, it has been funded by the Incyde Foundation, while in the case of the Núria Fernández Prize, it has been her family who has provided the financial endowment. In addition to these awards, recognitions were also given to the best TFG's in the field of health promotion (Healthy Campus), entrepreneurship and promotion of diversity and equality (Equality and Diversity Unit).

The closing ceremony was held by the mayor of Mataró and president of TecnoCampus, David Bote, who highlighted that the event aims to give visibility to talent and recognize excellence. The scholarships and prizes awarded yesterday total an approximate amount of 120.000 euros, and are part of the approximately two million euros that the TecnoCampus Foundation dedicates to scholarships, discounts and bonuses for the registration of both degrees and masters or specialization diplomas.
