A research ranking highlights the professors of the TecnoCampus Alepuz and Faúndez

This ranking, which is in its seventh year this year, selects researchers from the Scopus database, provided by the consulting firm Elsevier, to rank researchers using a set of bibliometric metrics, including the total number of citations, the H-index , the H-index adjusted for co-authors and citations in articles where the researcher is listed as the sole author, first author or lead author. 

Research and lifelong learning

Marcos Faúndez is a professor in the Technology Department of TecnoCampus and is coordinator of the consolidated research group Signal and Data Processing. His research areas are in the fields of biometrics (face, speech, hand geometry, online signature recognition) applied to security and health. He currently has more than 200 published articles indexed in impact journals, more than 100 conferences and numerous published books.

Salvador Alepuz is full professor in the Department of Technology at TecnoCampus and is a member of the research group in Intelligent Manufacturing and Industrial Innovation (FI4.0.). His research areas include power electronics, multilevel power converters and renewable energy technologies. As of October 2024, he had 48 papers published in SCOPUS accumulating 2.583 citations received.

The new published edition of the Ranking of the World Scientists: World Top 2% Scientists, prepared by the University of Stanford and the consulting firm Elsevier, includes two researchers from the TecnoCampus university center, among the list of the most influential scientists in the world. The two professors are Marcos Faúndez Zanuy, in the area of ​​knowledge "Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing", and Salvador Alepuz Menéndez, in the area of ​​knowledge "Electronic Engineering", both from the Department of Technology.
