Reempresa has avoided, since 2011, the closure of more than 179 businesses in the Maresme, which have generated more than 8,2 million euros in induced investment and have made it possible to safeguard more than 551 jobs in the region.

On Wednesday, November 30, the TecnoCampus hosted a new edition of the Matinal de la Reempresa; a morning of activities and conferences aimed at entrepreneurs looking to sell their company and entrepreneurs looking to take over a business that is already in operation.

The event, which brought together around fifty businessmen and entrepreneurs, was jointly coordinated with the local points of Reempresa de Mataró, Pineda de Mar and del Masnou through the collaboration maintained by Cecot and the Diputació de Barcelona to bring Reempresa to the entire demarcation of Barcelona.

Sergio Morales, Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Employment and Business, Entrepreneurship, Social Economy, Industry and Industrial Estates of Mataró City Council; Roger Pumares, Head of Service of Productive Fabrics of the Management of Economic Promotion and Employment Services of the Provincial Council of Barcelona; i Laura Sallent, director of the Center for Re-employment of Catalonia participated in the welcome ceremony of the morning.

The day was also attended by several technicians and technicians from the different attention points participating in the morning and other institutional representatives of the territory, as well as Roser Moré, president of FAGEM, business representative of Reempresa al Maresme and Maria Llarás, councilor of Economic promotion of Masnou. Sergi Morales highlighted the added value of Reempresa, emphasizing that "it is a service that helps safeguard jobs in the territory and helps to boost the economy". On the other hand, Roger Pumares thanked the work done by Reempresa during these years and emphasized that "Reempresa is a service for all types of companies, since its objective is to promote and be able to help the buying and selling of companies ". He also mentioned that "the service offered by Reempresa goes beyond the buying and selling process itself because it helps to focus the efforts of the entrepreneurial person and offers an accompanying service to both parties, both to business people who want to sell a business and to entrepreneurial people who want to start a new project". On the other hand, Laura Sallent highlighted these ten years of collaboration with the Diputació de Barcelona and all the people behind this great project, as well as the good results of Reempresa. He also emphasized that "a success story is not just the sale of a company. A case of success is, among other things, one or more safeguarded jobs and the growth of the market”.

The event was structured in several activities: two conferences with the aim of advising those interested in the program, a elevator pitch from where different people looking to sell their business were able to present their company to different entrepreneurs and a matching space, where the participants had 30 minutes to be able to interview different transferors who were looking to sell their business. The aim of this last activity was to be able to bring people interested in restarting a business with others who were looking to transfer it so that they could get to know each other and the latter could explain first hand the operation and management of their company.

Reempresa is the buying and selling market for small and medium-sized companies in Catalonia. An initiative of the employers' association Cecot and Self-Employment with the support of the Provincial Council of Barcelona. Since its launch, Reempresa has experienced great growth, managing to safeguard more than two companies a day on average in Catalonia.
