The company White Jacket Global, based in the TecnoCampus incubator, has been recognized at the 8th edition of Innpulso Emprende, held on June 25, 2025 in Gijón, within the framework of the annual event promoted by the Innpulso Network and the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
White Jacket has received the award for the most innovative project in the Social and Urban Innovation category for the development of a smart vest with haptic sensors that facilitates the autonomous mobility of people with visual disabilities.
This technology detects obstacles and points of interest in the environment, and transmits the information through vibrations, thus improving accessibility and safety. The company participated as a representative of the city of Mataró through its founder, Albert Loma, accompanied by the first deputy mayor, Miquel Àngel Vadell, in a conference that brought together 40 municipalities and their most outstanding entrepreneurial projects.
The presentations were made in an elevator pitch format, and focused on initiatives aimed at local innovation and sustainable development. With this recognition, White Jacket consolidates its commitment to technology at the service of people and innovation with social impact.
