Selection process to cover 1 full-time permanent Teaching and Research Staff (PDI) position linked to the Department of Circular Economy and Sustainability, in the area of ​​knowledge of: 

Circular economy and sustainability

FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare and propose to the Board of Directors the annual program of the Chair's activities with the advice of the Advisory Council and in accordance with the Chair's strategy.
  • Prepare the budget and manage it. 
  • Prepare the report for the current year and the action plan for the following year and present them to the Board of Directors for approval.
  • Periodically inform the Board of Directors of the execution of the annual plan. 
  • Coordinate the team of researchers.
  • Coordinate the annual activities of the Chair.
  • Appoint the courts that must decide on the granting of scholarships and prizes.
  • Attend the meetings of the Advisory Board and the meetings of the Board of Directors.  
  • Search for companies and collaborating entities and promote patronage and sponsorship.
  • Represent the Chair before third parties.
  • Propose, in agreement with the university center, teaching in the area of ​​the circular economy and, where appropriate, teach.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be in possession of a Doctor's degree. (it is necessary to specify this clearly in the CV and provide the degree or payment slip of the scanned degree).
  • University teaching experience in the circular economy field (must be clearly specified in the CV).
  • Applicants must have a level of Catalan that ensures the competence of teachers to participate adequately and correctly in communicative situations that require academic tasks, so that the linguistic rights of students are guaranteed, as provided by decree 128 / 2010, of 14 September, on the accreditation of the linguistic knowledge of the profesorado of the universities of the university system of Catalonia. At the time of signing the contract, the chosen candidate may choose between the accreditation of knowledge or the postponement of this accreditation for a period of two years.
  • High level of English. It is necessary to specify this clearly in the CV and provide scanned accreditation.

VALUABLE ASPECTS:

The CV of people who meet the essential requirements, that is to say, the admitted candidates, will be assessed. The maximum score is 60 points. 

  • Accreditation in AQU/ANECA research, (it must be specified clearly in the CV and if you have the accreditation, provide the scanned document). Max. 5 points 
  • Research trajectory and publications. The index will be checked and the ORCID code will be requested. Max. 10 points 
  • Experience in circular economy projects. Max. 20 points 
  • Having participated in national or international projects linked to the circular economy. Max. 10 points
  • Other merits Max. 15 points 

PRESENTATION-DEFENSE OF PLACE:

Those who exceed 40 points in the CV evaluation phase and evaluation of the previous relationship with TecnoCampus will be invited to present/defend the position. The maximum score will be 40 points.

In this presentation - defense of a place before the court of the selection committee, the candidate must:

  • Present your professional, academic and scientific career (10 minutes).
  • Present a proposal/development project for the circular economy and sustainability chair at Tecnocampus. (max. 20 minutes).
  • Answer the question and answer session of the Selection Committee (10 minutes).

PREVIOUS CONTRACTUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH TECNOCAMPUS. The maximum score will be 15 points.

LABOR ASPECTS: 

  • Full-time full-time teaching staff and researcher employment contract 30 ECTS
  • Immediate incorporation.

  • Submission of applications to date: 13/5/2024
  • Forecast publication list of those admitted and excluded from participation: between 14/5/2024 and 24/5/2024
  • Assessment of accepted candidates by the selection committee from the last week of May 2024. The finalist candidates who go on to the presentation-defense phase will be notified of the date of the interview/presentation by email.
