Current project: "Empowering Education of Patients with Osteoarthritis". European project coordinated by Finland. Head Researcher: Kirsi Johansson. Researchers in Spain: PhD A. Zabalegui, PhD E. Cabrera. This study aims to improve the quality of life of patients who undergo orthopaedic surgery due to their osteoarthritis via health education. In most cases, they are elderly patients whose pathology (pain, fatigue, disability, etc.) limits their quality of life.
Research group:FEBE Group for the Study and Teaching of the History of Nursing
The FEBE Group for the Study and Teaching of the History of Nursing consists of teachers and scholars of the history of nursing from all the universities of Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and Andorra.
It aims to consolidate this subject into the areas of teaching and research. Its name was chosen in memory of the first nursing deaconess in history (Febe = Phoebe in Catalan).
The aims of the group are as follow:
Adapting the subject to ECTS credits.
Exchanging teaching experiences and materials.
Laying the foundations to promote research in the history of nursing.
Promoting the history of nursing.
