Reimagine Textile 2021 Entrepreneurship Program

It is a high performance program and support in the process of transforming business ideas in the sector textile and fashion in real business projects, which is subsidized by the TecnoCampus Foundation, the Barcelona Provincial Council, the Generalitat de Catalunya and the European Social Fund.

Reimagine Textile 2020 Entrepreneurship Program

We will select projects that incorporate intelligent, functional and / or sustainable fabrics in their products, that use innovative manufacturing processes, or that provide technological, sustainable and / or disruptive solutions to the textile industry.  

It is necessary for the project to have at least one full-time dedicated person. Also that it contemplates like social and fiscal domicile, to exert the future activity of the company, the Park TecnoCampus, the city of Mataró or the region of the Maremes. In the case of an alternative registered office, provide for inclusion in the TecnoCampus business network, as well as provide for production at the local level taking into account the industrial capacity of the territory. 

Program

First phase

The program consists of two phases, the first, where participants experience the program in an evolutionary way by working on the following phases of the specific Business Model of the textile sector. It consists of sessions that combine workshops given by mentors, experts and testimonials from successful entrepreneurs in the sector.

  • You will turn the business idea into a clear value proposition, discovering the market and its reaction to the value proposition. You will approach the business model with the Canvas methodology.
  • They will help you prepare the product strategy and collection development; and to define the plan of operations.
  • You will define marketing and sales strategies; and we will teach you sales techniques.
  • You will validate the economic and financial viability as well as the product quality standards.
  • You will discover possible technological and innovation opportunities.
  • You will learn about the experiences of entrepreneurs in the sector who have brought their innovative ideas to market.
  • You will learn how to create professional data sheets and a viable and consistent collection chart.
  • We will facilitate the connection with the textile productive fabric of the territory to find the right suppliers.
  • You will learn how to create a story for your brand and present it. 
  • Access to the fablab facilities, atelier, shooting area and co-working area.
  • Connection with the entrepreneurial ecosystem Reimagine Textile.

At what price level do we want to be? How do we work out the scandal, price rate and margins? How will we introduce our product within this market? Do we want to open our own store? Which stores do we want to sell to? With what image? How to draw up the sales plan? How to get there?

What sales channels do I use and how? E-commerce, pop ups, sales showrooms, markets, digital platforms, maketplaces, sales agents, etc. Does it make sense to go out to international markets? Presentation of new business models that appear in the fashion sector and their digitization. What are the new marketing or distribution channels? Multichannel vs. Omnichannelity. How do we drive sales through e-commerce? What needs do we have and what actions should we take? What are the new strategies that help drive online distribution channels?

How is technology and social media used to make sales? What actions can I take to optimize my positioning through on and off line channels? How can I improve my positioning in web search engines? What promotional tools do I have on social media? How can I gain followers? Who can help me promote my brand online (influencers, bloggers, key opinion leaders)? Technology applied to CRM and customer loyalty.

Do you know what the word timing or deadline means? Have you ever made a collection plan? Do you know the processes that a piece goes through before arriving at a store? The textile and accessories sector is complicated and requires good planning of operations: from design to trade show (prototypes, counter samples, trade show, ...). From the selection of fabrics to the delivery of the piece to the customer. Technology and innovation: How is technology present in textile design? How to integrate technology into fashion? What are the latest innovation trends or future trends applied to fashion? How does the textile industry and the big chains innovate in technology and how can I benefit? At what point is technological innovation in the textile world?

Basics that will help you in a practical way to manage your business. We will emphasize knowing the costs and margins well, the elaboration of a budget of income and expenses as well as the needs of treasury to be able to finance a project in the fashion sector. Second phase

MARKET SUPPORT

At the end of the first phase, the entrepreneurs will present their value proposition and an evaluation committee will select the five finalist projects, which will enter the second phase of the program.

In this phase, we will accompany you in a personalized way in the launch with: 

  • Expert advice from professionals specializing in textile design and fashion (25 hours).
  • Support in the search for funding.
  • Guidance in the registration of patents and trademarks.
  • Support for promotion and presence in the media at local and national level.

Throughout the program you will have a space for shared use in the Tecnocampus to work on the project.
